The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Things Episode 6 Got Right

After a shaky fifth episode, Season 6 is back on track.

Daryl-lovers, rejoice! For starters, he's still alive. Secondly, he's actually done something other than crawl along an empty road on his motorbike like a dog on a leash. He proved he wasn't just the group's pet in the latest episode although he is mourning the disappearance of his closest companion... The Walking Dead has edged back to its entertaining self with an impressive Episode 6. This latest instalment went a long way towards setting up for the mid-season break, despite only focusing on a handful of characters. New groups were introduced, others were teased, a viciously explosive weapon has been uncovered by a maniac, and we haven't got a clue what's coming next. What more could we ask for? After a shaky fifth episode, Season 6 is back on track, but what were the highlights from this week's glimpse of humanity's end?

10. Action. Action. ACTION.

Hallelujah. The relentless opening trio of episodes signalled one of the brightest periods in the show's history. They were adrenaline-fuelled, hard-hitting, and came with a perfect storm of calculated, methodical plans and downright carnage. They were followed by an emotional fourth, and a slow-moving 'filler' fifth, but now we're getting back on track. Episode 6 wasn't a perfect run, nor was it bursting with chaos, but it did have enough action to get our hearts beating quickly, and let's face it, that should be the Number 1 priority of a thriller series. The opening shootout was surprising and sudden, the woodland encounter was pulsating in spells, and overall we got to see more than just nameless characters discussing food rations.
