The Walking Dead Season 7: 9 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Service'

The Walking Dead heads back to Alexandria, and we start to see what Negan's world looks like.

After the blood, brains, and brutality of the Season 7 premiere, the show made a big shift in direction away from those deaths.

Instead of dealing with the aftermath immediately, we instead went to the Kingdom and then the Saviours compound, with episodes that were by Walking Dead standards funny and/or weird (I still haven't got Easy Street out of my head).

Now, at the midway point of Season 7A, the show is ready to go back to Alexandria (the term Safe Zone doesn't really feel appropriate anymore). Negan arrives to collect his payment from Rick and co, and while there sets about inflicting as much mental torture as possible on the remaining survivors.

Overall the episode was brought down by being overlong, with a feeling of killing time, though there were some strong developments for Michonne and Rosita.

These in particular could be key moving forwards, especially when it comes to the show looking to escalate the conflict with Negan, and the good guys start fighting back.

It's still taking its time at the moment (too much so here), but there's plenty to ponder on going forwards.

9. How Much Longer Will Daryl Be With Negan?

When we left Daryl at the end of The Cell, he was off Easy Street and all alone Crying - but he was still Daryl.

The man we get here seems a little more broken; he's keeping his head down, barely looking at his friends. It may be a result of the torment he's suffered, or perhaps he feels this is the best way to keep them safe.

At the end of the episode, while presented the chance to leave, he goes back to the compound with Negan and the Saviours. How much longer will Daryl be the Saviours' dog? Are we eventually going to see him sent back to Rick, or perhaps rise up as an inside man?
