The stereotype-smashing Golden Girls was one of the most successful and critically-acclaimed sitcoms of the 80s and 90s the writing was impeccable, the comedic timing was perfect, and the stories were relevant (and often touching). It's little wonder that the show received an astonishing 11 Emmy Awards out of 68 nominations. It's also no surprise that so many stars of the past, present, and future found themselves appearing on-screen with Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia. After all, this was a top-level program, one which drew elite talent... some of whom may veer toward the unexpected. With this list, I've made an attempt to count down the ten most memorable guest appearances on The Golden Girls performance, celebrity, and consequence to plot were all criteria in determining whose cameos deserved recognition. Also note: I've only included stars who played fictional roles, so none of the many, many celebrities who appeared as themselves are eligible for inclusion (my apologies to Burt Reynolds).
