The Simpsons: 10 Secondary Characters Voiced By Hank Azaria

How many did you know?

The bulk of The Simpsons€™ expanded universe is voiced by four people: Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, and Harry Shearer. Each has their main characters they bring life to every recording session, but each also is asked to provide distinct voices and personalities for another dozen (or several dozen) characters. And no one is asked to do that more than the star of such films as The Birdcage, Mystery Men, and The Smurfs, Hank Azaria. Hank Azaria is not just the voice of Springfield residents Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Chief Clancy Wiggum, and Moe Syzslak: he is credited with voicing more than 200 Springfieldites since his first appearance as Moe (redubbing the voiceover originally done by former cast member Christopher Collins) in €œSimpsons Roasting On An Open Fire.€ Some of those characters are one-offs, meant to deliver one line and then move on; some were created as one-offs, but were brought back time and time again; and some have grown with The Simpsons, both the TV family and the TV show. Here are the Top 10 Secondary Simpsons€™ Characters Voiced by Hank Azaria. These are characters who rarely appear for more than a scene or two in an episode, instead showing up to tell a joke, make a comment, or move along the plot. So, no Apu, no Chief Wiggum, and no Moe (all three considered main characters.)
