The characters of Game Of Thrones are flawed to say the least. Almost everyone has a hidden agenda and tries to push their plots and schemes on others (yes Tyrion, I know they’re the same thing.). In this world of power-hungry douche teens and twisted “twincest”, a few characters stand out as the cream of the crop. While far from perfect, these characters and their complexities are what made season 2 for me. If they all got together and formed their own house it would be named Wu-Tang, because they are nothing to f*** with.
5. Jaqen H’ghar
Jaqen was definitely a high point this season. The friendly neighborhood assassin helped Arya Stark during her time in the service of Tywin Lannister (more on him later). When Arya makes the decision to save his life, he repays her…with death. I was wary of him at first, but when he actually delivered on his promises to Arya I was sold. Not to mention the way he kills her targets. I only wished there was more of him.
4. Osha
I spent a lot of this season being intrigued by Osha, and not just because of the full frontal nudity. A Wildling who tries to kill little Bran Stark, she becomes a sort of slave to the boy. The relationship turns into something much more beautiful and while all the other Starks are away she becomes sort of a big sister to him. When the shit hits the fan in Winterfell she shows that her true loyalty will always be to the little lords.

I might’ve just lost all respect for this site just now…
That’s a picture of Tyrion, not Tywin. You list Yara, but not Theon…Tywin, but not Arya.
Is this BleacherReport for movies and TV?
Thanks. Totally agree, especially with Theon. The intention was to focus a little more on the supporting characters, probably should have made that a bit more clear.
Also, this is my first post on a major blog, making you my first commenter! Congrats! You don’t get anything, but I’ll probably screencap this and show my kids one day. That’s pretty cool, right?
No Brianne??
Breinne*
Yara Greyjoy isn’t badass, she’s scarily creepy and like all the Iron Islands people, crazy.
Agreed on the others. The old man Lannister has substance. Tyrion is my favourite character also, but I love Ygritte from the get go, she’s sexy, tough and bold.
No Stannis or jorah mormont
I agree with everyone on this list especially the Imp. He really stood out on this season and made himself a character to really get behind and watch. Im real interested to see how his story unfolds. I also would think you may want to add Khalessi also. Her character really has grown from a timid sister to a force to be reckoned with when you really get on her bad side.
You watch your mouth Brian Jones of Moreno Valley, CA.
I’m just surprised they downplayed Brienne’s character in the show. The books really held her up more prominently. Was hoping she’d really stand out this season.
Also, why isn’t Jeoffrey on this list? C’mon. Imagine what a dull season this would have been if we didn’t have that vicious little turd to hate.
Tywin was an absolute bad-ass this season. Cool list.
I agree with user name Blowjay. Hot Pie was my favorite character in the first three books and I really think they did a great job with him in the show. Second is, of course, Lommy Greenhands who (in the show’s alternate universe) sacrifices himself by getting stabbed through the throat so Arya could say he was “the Bull” Gendry.
Tyrion and Tywin are the only Lannisters worth a damn? You obviously haven’t read the books. Keep your eye on Jaime in future seasons. He’s the most complicated character of the entire series.
