Robert Whittaker Pulled From UFC 248

Now, who will face top Middleweight contender Jared Cannonier?

One of the UFC Middleweight division's top stars, Robert Whittaker, will now NOT be taking on Jared Cannonier at UFC 248.

News broke yesterday (and was confirmed by ESPN) that Whittaker had been forced out of the fight due to an undisclosed reason, though you have to imagine an official statement won't be far away from the former Middleweight champ. But, this now leaves his opponent in limbo for the event which will take place in Las Vegas.

Jared Cannonier has been on an absolute tear in the Middleweight division, ever since he made the jump down from Light Heavyweight in late 2018.

He currently boasts a three fight win-streak and even a win over UFC legend Anderson Silva, so who would even dare to step foot in the Octagon with the re-invigorated 'Killa Gorilla'?

Well, one name that has been thrown around as of late, is Liverpool's own Darren Till.

Dana White hinted at Till being fed a top-ranked contender for his next bout, in his recent interview with The Mac Life. If Till is looking to establish himself as one of the top dogs in the Middleweight division, is there a better fight available than a war between the two self-proclaimed 'Gorillas' of the UFC?
