10 Best Tag Teams In Wrestling Right Now

1. The Revival

Like many NXT graduates, the Revival tandem of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson have stuttered on the main stage thus far. Wilder's jaw injury hampered their progress, but they're two veteran scalps away from entering the RAW Tag Team Title picture.

Vince McMahon's distaste for doubles wrestling, let alone the southern formula, triggers anxiety - but the Revival are surely so good as to be un-f*ck-up-able. If the Bucks are heels for a meta wrestling age, the Revival have restored a more pure art. It's difficult to draw jeers when you're patently fantastic in 2017. The Revival command a level of respect from an audience savvy to the mechanical make-up of in-ring psychology. This respect dissipates during the course of their matches precisely because they're so good at it; their ludicrously inventive blind tags are fused with state of the art athleticism, pacing and stamina to create an act that, while revelling in its supposed traditions, is as in thrall to the new school.

That much is symbolised with their awesome Shatter Machine finish. The flapjack, as old as anybody reading this, is a prelude to the still-futuristic Codebreaker. They weren't the first to use it, but they may be the best.

That could also be true of their Brain Busters hymn sheet, if they can maintain their 2016 standard in the years to come.
