10 Big Changes Happening To The WWE Product

WrestleMania 30 and the next night on Raw have proved to be the catalyst for change in the WWE. We are arguably on the cusp of a new wrestling era, as demonstrated by the decline of the 'old guard' and ascension of new talent over the last 48 hours. Raw in particular on April 7th proved to be a show all about re-generation. Newer stars went over, debuts took place, vignettes for new wrestlers coming in happened. All this was occurring as WWE documented the loss of Undertaker, arguably the kind of seismic shift which in the past has signalled era change. What was the last Mania moment to be as shocking as Undertaker's? It would have to be Steve Austin's 2001 heel turn, the night the attitude era ended and the entertainment era began. In that instance, change wasn't a good thing. In 2014 however, all the signs are that we should be optimistic about the changes unravelling before our eyes. This latest feature will document the big movements going on in WWE right now, detailing what direction they could be going in and how they'll impact the product in general. There's a fresh feeling in the air, Raw's main aim this week was to instil new characters and new storylines into the company. They achieved their goal. The product had momentum behind it from the Mania buzz and on Raw they've used that platform to establish the new generation of stars.
