In his promos to Roman Reigns in the build up to Wrestlemania 31, Brock Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman made no secret of the fact that Roman's cousin, multiple-time WWE champion The Rock, was conquered by the Beast Incarnate to the point where he never even asked for a rematch. Instead, Rocky was sent packing off to Hollywood, and hasn't returned to the WWE full-time since. Why would he? His movies have grossed over $1billion and he's become even more of a household name than he was in his WWE heyday. But now that cousin Roman has faced and subsequently failed to conquer the Beast, the time seems right for The Rock to return. His appearances - from taking down Rusev on a random Monday Night Raw to congratulating Reigns after the Royal Rumble - have gotten more and more frequent as of late, and the Great One seems ready to avenge his cousin's loss. Both men are on extremely restricted part-time schedules. Lesnar has re-signed a 3 year deal on the same terms as his last deal (one that saw him wrestle around four matches per year), and The Rock (or more to the point, his insurance company) are not going want an A-list movie star taking bumps that could threaten his career in Hollywood as much as it could in a WWE ring. Anything that these men do will be concise, and to-the-point, as it's unlikely that we'll get anything other than a slow-burner that will take us through to next year in Dallas, Texas.
