10 Former WWE NXT Wrestlers You Totally Don't Remember

1. Jake Carter

WWE love a second or third generation superstar, and the likes of The Rock and Randy Orton have become huge stars on the back of their decorated bloodlines. Coming from a successful wrestling family is no guarantee of individual success, however, and along with the likes of Camacho and David Flair, Jake Carter is living proof of that.

Son of the legendary Big Van Vader, Carter, like his father, started his athletic career through football. Hip and back injuries prevented him from progressing at college level, and after serving as a football coach, Carter started wrestling under his father’s tutelage.

His career began in Japan in 2010, and he signed a WWE developmental contract the following year. Carter was retained by WWE when FCW became NXT in 2012, and initially teamed with Corey Graves. The team split quietly, as Carter soon embarked upon a long winless run that saw him served-up for the likes of Kassius Ohno and Trent Barreta.

Carter was never able to find his niche within the business, and has now moved-on from wrestling entirely since being let go in 2013.
