10 Incidents That Cost WWE Stars Their Big Push

Some bad luck on behalf of the superstar, others just really bad decisions!

Wrestling can be a fickle business, over the years dozens of superstars destined for greatness have had their shot at the big time either delayed, or even outright cancelled for a myriad of reasons. Wrestling locker rooms are known for their cliques and politics, and how you act both in and out of the ring can affect whether you're main eventing WrestleMania, or jerking the curtain on Superstars. Arrests, outbursts or even a gut feeling can all change the course of a wrestler's career permanently, and in a company like WWE where one man has the final say, sometimes that's all it takes. Vince McMahon is known for changing his mind on a moments notice, and with news that he's apparently given up on a number of NXT stars, this is more relevant than ever. In the ever changing world of professional wrestling, something as small as an off-hand remark in an interview, or a move in the ring gone slightly wrong can change the landscape of the business of years to come, and while some wrestlers have taken that in their stride to become even bigger superstars, some wrestlers can never quite recover from these events. Here's a look at ten such incidents that have either cost or delayed a wrestler's seemingly imminent push to superstardom.
