The first Raw-specific WWE pay-per-view of the 2016 Brand Split era is almost upon us. SmackDown had their moment in the sun when Backlash turned-out to be one of the year’s most enjoyable shows, and while the red brand have their work cut-out to live-up to those standards, Clash of Champions 2016 has a stacked card.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins is a dream match for the Universal Championship, and with questions surrounding Triple H’s involvement and Seth’s fracturing relationship with Stephanie McMahon, it’s rife with intrigue.

Charlotte’s Women’s Title defence against Sasha Banks and Bayley should hark back to some of trio’s legendary NXT matches, Cesaro and Sheamus have been delivering the goods all month long, while TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick will surely go all-out to put Raw’s Cruiserweights on the map.

As is always the case in the lead-up to a PPV, the rumor mill has been running wild. While some of Clash’s match-ups suffer from short builds, the dirtsheets have been ablaze with rumors of big shake-ups on Sunday night, and understandably so. Raw’s ratings are stuck in the mire, and it’s looking increasingly likely that WWE will make several big, bold, and brave moves to revitalise the product at Clash.

With that in mind, here 10 last-minute WWE Clash of Champions 2016 rumors you need to know. As usual, rumors are just that: rumors, so take each with a pinch of salt.

10. Enzo & Big Cass Vs. The Shining Stars

Eight matches have been confirmed for Clash of Champions 2016 thus far, with only Alicia Fox vs. Nia Jax taking place on the pre-show. This is a relatively average match-count for a WWE PPV, and there’s every chance one of the existing main card matches will be shunted down to pre-show territory, but fans shouldn’t count on it. Each of the main show’s seven matches have something on the line, even if it’s just pride, and it’d be unwise to see any of them relegated.

Instead, it looks like Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. The Shining Stars is about to be added to the Clash Kick-Off Show. The two teams have been embroiled in a low-key rivalry for the past few weeks, and after taking a couple of losses at the Puerto Ricans’ hands on recent editions of Raw, it could be time for The Realest Guys in the Room to gain a measure of revenge.

WWE would be wise to nip this one in the bud and not draw the rivalry out any longer. The Stars are likely going nowhere in Raw’s tag division, while Enzo & Cass are among the show’s most popular acts, and will likely be in-line for a title program soon. Of all the rumors surrounding Clash of Champions, this one’s among the most likely.
