2. Lifetime Achievement Award For 'Classy' Freddie Blassie

A different direction for number two in our list as Freddie Blassie was given his just deserts in 1996. A package was put together and shown to the attending audience outlining his storied career, which led him to being named in the WWE Hall of Fame and Wrestler of the Century in Japan. Vince McMahon would present the award to Blassie, saying it's an award that meant so much to the McMahon family as Freddie had been involved with Vince's dad and granddad. Freddie, of course, received a rapturous ovation which led to Jerry 'The King' Lawler calling for the audience to: "Be quiet you pencil-necked geeks."
