10 Mistakes WWE Better Not Make Before WrestleMania 34

8. Expecting Elimination Chamber & Fastlane To Sell Themselves

Both Elimination Chamber on 25 February and Fastlane on 11 March will need some help if they're going to come across worthwhile during 'Mania season. Right now, they're just like most of these placeholders pay-per-views. People are already looking past both and talking about WrestleMania.

How do WWE remedy this?

Well, for starters they don't simply fill up the Chamber matches and pretend that's a story. This past week's Raw did exactly that. Elias, Braun Strowman and John Cena all qualified, and that trio will be joined by another over the next few weeks. It's hardly thrilling TV before the biggest night of the year.

As for Fastlane, it'll happen exactly one month before 'Mania 34. By that point, full focus will be on New Orleans, and that fact renders the event pretty much pointless. WWE are going to have to come up with more than a cage gimmick or hokey 'speed bump on the way to New Orleans' sell to convince anyone these shows are must-see.
