Well, sort of. CM Punk's shock return on FS1's WWE Backstage caught everyone by surprise, and his "changing the culture" speech adds spice to the already-watchable weekly show. There's no evidence to suggest Punk will do more than show up periodically as a talking head, but what if this is just the start of a long road towards active wrestling?
Could Punk be swayed by a big pot of money and the right opponents? Maybe, maybe not. One thing's for sure: WWE didn't seem to be in Punk's future before he strolled back into the company sphere this week. Now, he must brace himself for the same old questions he's heard before about when he'll wrestle again.
If (and it's a big if) he ever does, then there's no end to the number of stunning showdowns Punk could have with WWE's current roster. Old foes would become new again, his decision to dabble in MMA could crop up as part of well-crafted stories and there are fresh faces to go up against.
There's nothing wrong with dreaming, and every one of the 10 matches here would be awesome to see if the price is right...
