As Vince McMahon's supposed "B-show", SmackDown has spent most of its 18 years hiding in the shadow of Monday Night Raw.

As such, it can't really lay claim to the same amount of memorable moments as its red counterpart. There have been a smattering of great matches, to be sure, but seldom has WWE allowed its most earth-shattering events to take place on Tuesdays.

That said, writers over on the blue brand still have a duty to entertain their audience (although last year you perhaps could have been forgiven for thinking otherwise). And, in wrestling, one of the best ways to entertain your audience is to perform high-risk stunts of the kind that leave them hiding behind their sofas.

So while SmackDown has tended to steer clear of little old ladies getting powerbombed through tables, and Terry Funk being pushed off the stage in a dumpster, there have still been a good few times when viewers have been made to worry that their favourite wrestlers (or members of the McMahon family) have just been killed in action.

Here, it was AJ Styles lying in wait on the commentary desk, a prelude to their match at WrestleMania 33, where they succeeded in tearing the roof off the Camping World Stadium despite everyone lamenting that they were paired up at all.
