10 Most Devastating Finishers In WWE Today
9. Kinshasa - Shinsuke Nakamura
One of the most believable moves in modern day WWE, the
former ‘Bomaye’ (its name was changed because ‘Bomaye’ literally means ‘kill
him’ in Lingala) is a devastating running knee to the head. In similar fashion
to Daniel Bryan’s almost unstoppable running knee, the Kinshasa has been
presented as the kind of move that presents a conundrum: you reverse it, or you
lose.
The only reason this move doesn’t feature higher on this list is because Nakamura is still fairly new to WWE, meaning the move hasn’t developed the same air of authority it did back in NJPW, and because Finn Balor and Samoa Joe have both managed to kick out of the Kinshasa on separate occasions, with the latter requiring a second knee to finish the job.
Still, the Kinshasa is one of the most hard-hitting manoeuvres on WWE TV at the moment. Nakamura will be lucky if it doesn’t wind up banned at some point, given that the move sidelined Austin Aries, gave him a colossal black eye, and required him to have titanium plates inserted into his jaw.
