10 Most Insubordinate WWE Stars

The sources of Vince McMahon's biggest headaches.

One of the great struggles of any big business is to maintain the loyalty and professionalism of its employers, something which becomes doubly important for a company under as much public scrutiny as the WWE. Unfortunately for Vince McMahon, the wrestling industry is absolutely littered with incidents of workers acting in a selfish, greedy, or even destructive manner, with little regard for the reputation of themselves or the people paying their salaries. The fans lap this up, of course. There's nothing more exciting than a leaked backstage scandal, especially when it comes out of the WWE. Despite its outward presentation as a slick, modern enterprise, it is still a wrestling company, and therefore suffers all the shady problems typical to the industry. Theories are made, shoot interviews are poured over, and sides are taken. Quite often - it has to be said - the problem lies with the WWE. Promotions have a history of screwing over their performers, a tradition which goes as far back as the business itself. It's also far easier for most of us to empathise with a single figure standing up for themselves, rather than the huge corporate empire opposing them. However, sometimes the blame is unquestionably on the wrestler's head. Professional wrestling's population of huge egos and larger-than-life characters will inevitably contain some troublemakers. Here are ten of the biggest rabble-rousers in WWE history who, in some way or another, caused a huge headache for Vince and co.
