10 Reasons The Undertaker Will Retire At WrestleMania 32

Well, it's certainly not because he's wrestling Sting...

WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas will most likely be the last stand for the soon-to-be 51 year old Undertaker. However, his advanced age is but ONE of the ten most significant reasons why this is the case. In so much of who and what The Undertaker represents being intrinsically linked to WWE on so many levels, his retirement (and the reasons behind it) actually highlight many intriguing issues in the company-at-present. From The Undertaker having nobody to wrestle, nobody to defeat and absolutely nobody being willing to want (or believe in) him losing a professional wrestling match, it may be time for him to go. As well, in contemplating how dissimilar The Undertaker as a performer is from where the company may be headed in both its in ring and general storytelling appearance overall, there's also key points that are to be considered regarding why retirement after Wrestlemania 32 is what is actually "best for business." Is it sad to contemplate a WWE without The Undertaker? Of course. He's been in WWE for a quarter-century, meaning that he's wrestled for longer than Paige has been alive and may have more matches and ring-time in WWE than probably half of the combatants in the 2015 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. A part of the fabric of WWE, maybe the fabric's getting a little worn and it's time for the company to put on a metaphorical new pair of pants.
