Jinder Mahal wears the WWE Title to this day because the company have acknowledged an enormous audience hungry for their product and are mindful of the opportunistic potential still fertile across India.

The numbers don't lie, with Mahal channelling The Rock in repeatedly referencing the millions of supporters that allegedly adore his act. He's possibly not wrong, but it's hard to imagine a time where he'll ever be as beloved in Indian markets as Khali.

An Andre The Giant for the modern age, Khali brought a novelty value to the show, but became iconic by virtue of his World Title wins and aforementioned titanic clashes. A former Punjab State police officer as well as a Hollywood and Bollywood actor and reality TV star, he's a household name for his work home and abroad, and wears that responsibility no matter what he's asked to do on television.

There are few men to be deified in grand images holding a title belt upside down, but Khali will always have that honour. Idolised beyond reproach, he manages a scale fame few of WWE's biggest global superstars will ever truly understand.
