10 Reasons WWE Champion Brock Lesnar Is Worth $5 Million A Year

Eat. Sleep. Earn Return On Investment. Repeat.

Heading into Night of Champions, newly-crowned WWE World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is the talk of the wrestling industry. Between ending The Undertaker€™s undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX and pulverizing John Cena within an inch of his hustling, loyal, respectful life, Paul Heyman€™s client is enjoying one of the strongest booked periods any wrestler has ever been a part of. While it can€™t be argued that his involvement hasn€™t boosted the WWE in a positive manner, there are some disputes about whether or not his lofty contract status€”reportedly $5,000,000 a year for very limited dates€”is worth it to the company. Supporters feel that he€™s an attraction worthy of the compensation and special accommodations and have no trouble with WWE acquiescing to his demands. His detractors feel that such a deal sets a bad precedent and rewards talent for doing the bare minimum, and is the same basic argument Vince McMahon himself used when refusing to buy out any of the big money contracts of the WCW stars upon his purchase of the company. They feel that Lesnar hasn€™t €œearned€ what he€™s being given. If you€™re one of those people, this article is an attempt to convert you to the other way of thinking. The side that feels Brock Lesnar deserves the money he€™s being paid, because of how much WWE benefits from his presence. And also because he€™s Brock F*cking Lesnar and you€™ll give him what he wants or suffer the consequences.
