10 Reasons WWE SmackDown Is Totally Irrelevant

Does anyone actually watch this show anymore?

Once upon a time, SmackDown was arguably the most exciting show produced by WWE. Considered the €˜wrestling show€™, it focused on showcasing exciting matches and building new stars, which allowed fans of more traditional wrestling to find something that fits their needs in a world of €˜sports entertainment.€™ Sadly, that has become nothing more than a fond memory of ages past. In more recent years, SmackDown has truly become the €˜B-Show€™; a secondary show nowhere close to the equal to RAW it once was. With so many new shows, projects and priorities in WWE, SmackDown has been left in the background as a show whose relevance has truly diminished. From a lack of unique features, to a lack of proper emphasis and concern from the WWE€™s top brass, SmackDown has truly become irrelevant. It€™s really unfortunate that WWE€™s fans look back to the late 90s and early 2000s when discussing the best of SmackDown; it€™s as though nothing of importance has happened on the show since those early days. Even though SmackDown recently moved back to Thursday nights, by this point it€™s so irrelevant in WWE that the changed date doesn€™t even matter. Here are 10 reasons why no one cared about SmackDown anymore, even though it€™s one of the most easily recognizable €˜wrestling words€™ in the English language.
