10 Surprising Facts About NXT Coach Robbie Brookside

Jobbing to Vince McMahon, videotaping a nude Chris Jericho, and building the future of the WWE...

Despite being an icon of the British wrestling scene, building a successful 30+ year career across such territories as Japan, Germany and Spain, and winning over twenty championship belts, very little is still known about Robbie Brookside in the USA. From his humble beginnings in Liverpool, England, Brookside eventually came to be seen as a respected pillar of the British wrestling community. Today, he resides in Florida and heads up the introductory classes at the WWE's Performance Center. It's Brookside's responsibility to teach the NXT rookies the basic fundamentals of professional wrestling and prepare them for the unique road that lies ahead. A crucial job, to be sure. Here are ten things that show the different aspects of Robbie Brookside - the prankster, the friend, the worker, the supporter, the mentor.

Noticing that there was no red light on the camera, Jericho immediately whipped off his towel and launched into a nude dancing routine, flapping his Y2Junk around and cart wheeling through the dressing room. To Jericho's horror, Brookside and Dean then peeled away a piece of black tape from the camera's red recording light, revealing that they had been taping him all along. The future WWE Undisputed Champion begged them to erase the tape, and Brookside and Dean vowed that nobody would ever see it. Later that night, while partying at a sports bar with other wrestlers and fans, Jericho heard shrieks and screams from some of the female patrons. He looked up to the bar's big screen TV to see that Brookside had hooked up the video camera to the bar's entire TV system, broadcasting "The Balls of Jericho" to everyone in attendance. Brookside claims he still has the tape, only this time, the footage truly will never see the light of day. Whether Jericho believes him or not is a different story, however...
