10 Things You Don't Know About WWE In 1993

2. Shawn Michaels Quit The Company In September

Many will remember that Shawn Michaels was stripped of his Intercontinental Title and suspended in the fall of 1993. This allowed Razor Ramon to win the Battle Royal and beat Rick Martel on Raw to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Shawn would return at Survivor Series holding the Intercontinental Title belt and claiming to be the real champion, having never lost the belt. This would lead to the famous Ladder Match at Wrestlemania X. What people may not know is that Shawn was suspended for a failed drug test (which Shawn denies failing to this day), and Shawn quit the company afterward. Thankfully, Shawn returned to WWF, but it€™s amazing to think what the WWF would have been like had Shawn stayed gone. One of the greatest careers in WWF history might have been cut off before it could even get going.
