Accentuate the positives. Hide the weaknesses. Take it to the 'Extreme'...

An entire generation of wrestling fans could be considered 'Paul Heyman Guys'. Anyone growing up in the 90s would've become addicted to the counter-culture cool his ECW promotion gave off, and millions more were enthralled when Paul E took over SmackDown's creative reins in 2002.

That stint, running from July '02 until February '03, was his first proper run as a creative team member in WWE. Later, Heyman was also involved in then-developmental territory OVW between 2005-2006 and acted as a consultant for the relaunched ECW brand for almost its first six months of existence.

Since then, he's been more content to work on screen as a manager (sorry, "Advocate") and occasionally act as a father figure to talent behind the scenes. Unofficially, Heyman has always been creating since returning to the company in 2012. Now, as Executive Director of Raw, he has the chance to do so in an official capacity.

One need only look back to Paul's previous work in creative to see that he does things differently to the humdrum processes WWE has been using recently. Is his history exclusively positive? No, but there are more hits than misses.

Fingers crossed his future is as prolifically exciting as his past...
