10 Things That Must Happen At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12

2. A Violent Blood Bath

For non-Japanese fans, the dream match between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho is undoubtedly the main event. The idea of the two facing off was reason enough to be intrigued, but Jericho’s vicious attack at the World Tag League finals added a truly personal element. This could well be something special.

I have no problem saying that Kenny Omega winning is a foregone conclusion, but the focus here is on Chris Jericho.Y2J is without doubt one of the greatest of all time, but his in-ring powers have been on the wane. Even the most passionate Jericho fan must admit that. The addition of the No Disqualification stipulation here allows Jericho’s storytelling prowess to cover what his age will prevent him from doing.

As such, Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega needs to be the all-out bloodbath that it could be. There is plenty on the line for both men. Jericho will be desperate to prove that he is still one of the best in the world, while Omega has long been proving that he is capable of creating magic with anyone. This could be special, but the violence will need to be ramped up for that to be the case.
