10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Buddy Landel

7. He Was An Active Reserve Police Officer

Landel's accomplishments were not relegated to the ring. Outside of wrestling, he was actually an active reserve police officer, and had been since 1998. He graduated from Sabre Tactical School run by Paul Castle at the time, a tactical officer who provided firearms and tactical training. Additionally, Landel was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and an accomplished musician. Beyond that, later in life, he became a stock trader, and made a small fortune on penny stocks - which allowed him to wrestle on the side for fun, rather than for money, though the damage his body took over the years prevented him from staying very active.
