10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Undertaker's American Badass Run

3. Sara, 'Mark', And His Love Life

Now, seeing the Undertaker enter the arena on a motorcycle wasn€™t that bad. The man still looked intimidating and as larger-than-life as a Superstar can appear. But then, he started bringing his wife Sara into the mix, and even had her take part in storylines and in matches, which made things much weirder for the Undertaker. At one point, €˜Taker had a new motto: €˜Mess with my family, and you will get hurt€™. That does not sound like the battle cry of a Superstar; it sounds like a warning from a vengeful husband, which is an image that does not suit the Undertaker at all. Not only that, there was his infamous €˜Sara€™ tattoo on that he got on his throat. The €˜SARA€™ tattoo looked strange on him, especially after his return to the Deadman gimmick. Every close-up shot showed that tattoo on his throat, which didn€™t fit with the €˜skulls and supernatural€™ theme he had going on everywhere else on his body. Of course WWE wants you to forget that, because it€™s a reflection of the Undertaker€™s personal life, and has nothing to do with the character€™s supernatural aura. His personal life was even turned into a second storyline, where a random woman arrived in WWE and claimed that €˜Mark€™ was cheating on Sara with him. Not only is it extremely taboo to call a wrestler by their real names, but this was yet another one of those rare times where kayfabe was violated and the illusion of the Undertaker was shattered. Considering that the Undertaker one of the few WWE Superstars who€™s still referred to by their gimmick name, this isn€™t something WWE wants fans to remember; they want him to be forever known as €˜Undertaker€™ and not €˜Mark.€™
