10 Things You Didn't Know About Emma

9. Steve Austin Was Her Childhood Favourite

Growing up in her native Australia meant that Emma didn't get to see many WWE shows during childhood. The Boronia, Victoria native has claimed in previous interviews that this meant she could throw herself into the Australian independent scene, though, and those experiences helped pave the way to a WWE contract.

Citing Steve Austin as her absolute favourite wrestler of all time, Emma was infatuated with the rebellious nature of the 'Stone Cold' character and how Austin would never give in, even when outnumbered.

That's right, long before John Cena was encouraging (in more clean cut fashion) kids to 'Never Give Up', Emma found inspiration in the roughhouse style of Austin.

On the female side of things, it was Trish Stratus who inspired Emma to follow her dreams. During media appearances ever since, the Aussie has stated her wish to meet Trish again professionally, especially because their only physical meeting came when Emma was a fan.

Emma would have grown up during Austin's peak run in the then-WWF, and she finally got to meet her hero at WrestleMania XXX.
