10 Times AJ Styles Has Already Fought WWE Stars

After 18 years as a pro, AJ Styles is coming to WWE. Who has he already met on the way?

AJ Styles may only just be making his way to the hallowed ropes of World Wrestling Entertainment, but he is no newcomer to anyone who has followed professional wrestling in recent times. Styles is actually an 18-year veteran of the game, making his debut in 1998 in National Championship Wrestling as Mr. Olympia. Things have improved since then. An independent standout, Styles would go on to become the name most synonymous with all that was one good about TNA Wrestling. The first grand slam winner, Styles did everything there was to do in TNA, winning every title, headlining every show and everything else in between. He has also won titles in NJPW, RoH and PWG among other places. WWE's position when it comes to signing independent standout performers has changed considerably over the last few years, and as such more and more of the top performers making their way around the halls of America find themselves lacing up the boots in arenas now instead. So what does this mean? Well, take one top performer, and 18-year career and a changed policy within the company he hasn't been. What you get is a whole load of opponents for Styles that he has already met at various points of his career, be they in TNA or any other promotion. Who makes the list? Let's take a look...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
