2. Winter, Angelina Love And Some Good Ol' Fashioned Brainwashing
Mind control and supernatural apparitions were just some of what made the storyline involving Winter and Angelina Love the second-weirdest storyline in TNA history when it first appeared on television in 2011. Love was one of the premiere Knockouts on the entire roster when she began seeing Winter in her locker room during pre-taped vignettes. The only problem is that none of the other women on the roster saw her, leaving the former Beautiful People member thinking that she was losing it, so to speak. Eventually Winter's presence was acknowledged by the other Knockouts on the roster, particularly Love's longtime tag team partner Velvet Sky, who almost instantly recognized that something was off about the relationship. Sky was hellbent on proving to her friend that there was something off about the newcomer, that something was not right, but by that point Winter had taken hold of Love's body and mind. It was never clearly revealed as to how exactly Winter gained so much control over Love but brainwashing was insinuated. It was that control, however, that prevented Love from helping Sky as she was assaulted and eventually led to her heel turn. There was never any real payoff to the angle. Instead, Love partnered with Winter, capturing the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships and going as far as to help her controller capture the Knockouts Championship. A story that began weird, built to even weirder climaxes, was never officially paid off with any sort of coherent ending, making it even stranger and more bizarre than it otherwise already was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jC_MuVVYlDo
