10 Wrestlers Who Shared A Signature Move (And Who Did It Better)
6. The Rock / Booker T (Rock Bottom / Book End)
Long before The Rock and Booker T ever shared a stage in WWE, the two superstars spent many, many years indirectly clashing in the infamous Monday Night Wars. Booker gained attention as one half of the 10-time tag team champions, Harlem Heat, while The Rock broke out as the eventual leader of the black power stable, The Nation of Domination.
Their careers took very different trajectories, but eventually they ended up in literally the exact same position: Standing over their fallen opponents, who'd just been taken down with a devastating side slam.
Booker T claims he came up with the move, but since he didn't start using the Book End until his main event push in the late '90s - a few years after The Rock Bottom had already been put in the spotlight - that seems disingenuous.
Who Did It Better? Well this one's definitely a softball, seeing as how The Rock showed his millions (and millions) of his fans just how dominant his version of the move was in a match with Booker T during their Invasion feud.
Even if Booker T did come up with the move, there's no denying that the Great One perfected it. Whereas Booker drops to his knee while dropping his opponent to the mat, The Rock goes all in, following them all the way down for maximum effect. Plus, Rock's version usually leads in to the most electrifying move on the planet, The People's Elbow.
