10 Wrestlers Who Were Out Of This World

From the outer reaches of your mind...

The wrestling business is full of a lot of colorful characters. Some of them are legendary great performers like The Undertaker or Goldust. The ideas of those characters my Then there are the crappy characters that make us wonder what WWE's creative force were thinking. With April Fool's taking place just a day ago, it's a good time to look at some of the more foolish ideas for characters in WWE and WCW history with a focus on where they were billed from. A lot of times you'll see a wrestler billed from their actual hometown or a made up one like how Cactus Jack was from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico (that's a real place) even though he's from New York or The Undertaker was from Death Valley even though he's really from Texas. If it fit the character it was fine. Then there are the ridiculous hometowns. Most of these characters covered fit the bill as some of the weirdest in wrestling history. Part of that is due to where they are billed from. They don't want to put these bizarre names on guys and then say "From Tampa, Florida" because that makes them sound normal. We all understand why they give them crazy hometowns. Like we always say, that's just part of the unique world of pro wrestling. One exception that you won't read about here is Parts Unknown. There are several famous gimmicks in wrestling history from the mysterious "Parts Unknown" that it really is its own category and could be covered separately. Guys like The Ultimate Warrior and Papa Shango are two of the more well known "Parts Unknown" gimmicks. The focus of this unusual gathering will be on the wrestlers that are billed from places out of this world. Most are fictional. Some could be on Earth too, but there's really no specific place mentioned for them. What's interesting about some of these guys is two of them were on the first episode of Raw and one of them was in the main event. Here's a closer look at those wrestlers who hailed from places that were out of this world.
