10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (April 24)

Did The Undertaker really nearly jump to WCW and Triple H claims he's never buried anyone.

Perhaps the most beautiful aspect of the pro wrestling world is that the wheel is ever-turning. There is no 'off season' for this form of entertainment, and that's something WWE have even used as a promotional tool - in the mid-90's, whilst sports such as Major League Baseball were going on strike, the then-WWF ran a series of videos that attempted to capitalise on this, and put over just how hard the men and women under contract to the company work. Even the most casual fan realises that professional wrestling isn't an easy business to succeed in. Admittedly, it's all relative, because there aren't many jobs that are necessarily easy to become a success working in, but wrestling puts a tremendous physical toll on the body. Not only that, but there's a real need for dedication, ignoring pain and putting up with being away from family. This is something that's often forgotten when fans criticise the product. Sure, that's only natural, and entirely justified a lot of the time, but the men and women who put their bodies on the line do so often out of passion, not just because they're getting paid. These news items and facts look at some of the most notable examples of people who have put their entire being into the wrestling world, as well as those who are just really getting started.
