10 WWE Clichés That Need To Die

WWE is full of annoying clichés, but these awful examples need to go!

The nature of the WWE means that certain clichés are inevitable; heels will always act a certain way and John Cena will always make terrible jokes. It's ultimately easier to accept some more than others, as there are many parts of wrestling which are inevitable. However, others have become more and more infuriating over the years. Even the most casual of fans will pick up on these, while those who are passionate about the WWE will often find themselves reaching their breaking point thanks to the high level of repetitiveness. Take the rule of reverse momentum. 90% of the time, the Superstar on the winning side of a rivalry on the final show before a PPV will end up lose on the Sunday. Wresting, and the WWE in particular, is what it is. That's why we love it! However, in a world with TV shows like Breaking Bad and True Detective, viewers expect something more from a storytelling perspective. NXT is a great example of how the company is catching up in that respect, but the main product still relies on far too many clichés which need to go. Here, you'll find just ten of the very worst examples. If all of these were to dropped from WWE programming tomorrow, things would undoubtedly improve for us all...
