Of course, it is extremely likely that the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion will come up short against Sasha Banks at Roadblock this coming Sunday, ending her singles PPV record in the process. Banks and Flair have been passing the title back and forth ever since the brand split, and the hot potato game must surely come to an end.

If Flair is successful in regaining the title in the match this Sunday then surely her PPV singles undefeated record will come to an end in 2017. WrestleMania is the perfect place for such things to end, and with Bayley waiting in the wings there is already a clear individual to get the job done.

2017 is going to be a huge year for women’s wrestling in WWE, but it will come with disappointment for the Nature Girl.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
