10 WWE Implications Of Daniel Bryan’s Retirement

What does Bryan's retirement mean for WrestleMania 32 and beyond?

What fan of professional wrestling will ever forget the night of WrestleMania XXX? The event will go down in history for featuring the end of The Undertaker's vaunted 'Mania winning streak, but it's also memorable for hosting one of the most magical moments in WWE history. On that evening, Daniel Bryan - a wrestler told time and time again that he wasn't main event material - became WWE World Heavyweight Champion in front of over 70,000 screaming fans. Tears were shed on April 6, 2014, and more were rolling down the cheeks of the wrestling community on February 8, 2016. Live on Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan announced to the world that he was 100% retiring from professional wrestling. It was clear that he did so hesitantly, but his passionate words about loving the art of wrestling were incredibly heartfelt. Bryan's career had been up in the air for almost a full year, his last WWE match coming opposite Sheamus on the April 14, 2015 edition of Smackdown. Following that show, recurring neck problems posed a serious threat to the man's livelihood. Since then, he has been battling to stay active as a pro wrestler, but Monday's Raw marked the end of that journey. Bryan leaves a sizeable hole in WWE's main roster, but what does his actual retirement mean, both for the past and the future going forward?
