10 WWE Moments That Made You Extremely Uncomfortable
9. Vince Interviews Melanie Pillman On Raw 24 Hours After Her Husband Dies
Brian Pillman died on October 5th 1997, just a few shorts hours before WWE presented their Badd Blood pay-per-view. Pillman, who was supposed to wrestle Dude Love on the show, was found in his hotel room by maids in the early hours of the morning, dead of a heart attack. He was 35-years-old. Literally 24 hours after the death of The Loose Cannon, Vince McMahon interviewed his widow, Melanie, live on Raw. Yes, a single day after her husband had passed away, WWE asked Melanie if she would be OK appearing on-camera and answering questions regarding Brian's death. A clearly distraught Melanie was asked what she knew about Brian's death, if she had anything to say to aspiring athletes about the misuse of painkillers and, incredibly, what she was going to do next and how she would support her kids. A tasteless, shameless ratings ploy, nobody with a conscience would have asked her to do this. It was simply deplorable. Following the interview, Vince introduced a tribute video for Brian Pillman (narrated by Jim Ross), which is the only thing they should have done in the first place.
