10 WWE Stars John Cena Could Feud With If He Turned Heel

Will 2015 finally see Cena's "Bash at the Beach" moment?

John Cena divides opinion, or so say WWE. In reality, not a lot of adult males €“ which make up the predominant portion of the audience €“ like the man€™s character at all. In fact, the above is a gross understatement, the guys really dislike Cena. There are more boos than cheers, by far, when he enters the arena, and said booing is prevalent throughout almost all of his matches. Wrestling fans have been desperately hoping to see Cena turn heel for many years now, but WWE are loathe to pull the trigger €“ the amount of money made from John Cena merchandise is quite extraordinary, so it€™s logical that the company wish to keep him on the good side of the fence. Similarly, Cena himself would sure miss those big ol€™ merch cheques every month. It's fair to say that there are parallels between John Cena and the undoubted star of the 1980's, Hulk Hogan. By stark contrast, Cena and the undoubted star of the 1990's, Steve Austin, have little in common, certainly when it comes to the reactions they receive from the audience. Intriguingly, Austin's "Stone Cold" character was supposed to be heel, but the fans loved him, turning him heel in the process. Cena is clearly positioned to be a top babyface, but the fans (by and large) despise the guy. This article explores the possibility of Cena turning heel, looking at 10 good reasons why he should, by using 10 of the top names he could have exciting feuds and matches with if he were to turn his back on the kids which dominate his fanbase.
