10 WWE Stars Who Have Had The Worst 2018

9. Finn Bálor

It feels like a lifetime ago now that Finn Bálor held the Universal Title aloft for the first time and looked set to become Raw's main man. Injury robbed him of his reward for endless toil on the indys and in Japan, and he hasn't been the same since. Bálor Club and all, Finn's lot has been a poor one in WWE post-injury.

If 2017 was poor, with its naff Bray Wyatt feud, at least it gave him something to shout about. That match with AJ Styles at TLC in October was a brilliant illustration of his skills, and it should have stirred the creative team into giving Bálor more. The fact they haven't, and have instead reduced Finn to a smiling snorefest of a character, is on them.

He's not to blame. The Irishman is every bit the wrestler he was two years ago.

Brief flirtation with the Intercontinental Title aside, his 2018 has been crap. Another mediocre rivalry with Baron Corbin, the Mixed Match Challenge team with Bayley that somehow made both less likeable and his current lot as a star-maker for Drew McIntyre have combined to make the first Universal Champ a total afterthought.
