10 WWE Stars With The Most RAW Matches Ever

Who has locked up on the flagship show the most times?

It's the longest running weekly episodic show in history (or whatever that fact is), and the flagship show of World Wrestling Entertainment.

In many ways, Monday Night RAW is World Wrestling Entertainment. The announcement of the brand split has reinvigorated interest in SmackDown once more, but since its inception in 1993 RAW has been the most important part of WWE programming without any shadow of a doubt.

1200 episodes later, this still rings true.

The popularity of the show floundered somewhat in the face of the WCW Monday Nitro juggernaut, was able to recover thanks to a once-in-a-lifetime roster and a brand new attitude, vanquished the competition and guaranteed its own mediocrity for time to come.

Since WCW died in 2001, this has been somewhat the norm, and it can be argued that RAW has never truly been great ever since.

Still, 1200 episodes isn't to be sniffed at. All of the greats of the modern era have come and gone in that time, but who has wrestled the most matches on the WWE's flagship show? The results may surprise you.

I looked at the SmackDown equivalent and, despite that show's relative youth, only three of the names were currently active in WWE, and all three are in the twilight of their career.

Surely this will be the same for RAW, right?

Like I said before, you may just be surprised...

10. Christian - 245 Matches

Captain Charisma snuck into the list on SmackDown, and he finds himself on even thinner ground when it comes to Monday Night RAW.

Recently released from his performer's contract, it is unlikely that Christian will add to his 245 matches on RAW. Still, his closest challenger was Cody Rhodes, just one match behind on 244 bouts, and he's gone now too. Sheamus and Kofi Kingston are next in line, with 242 and 237 matches each.

When all is said and done, it is fair to say that Christian will go down as one of the most under-appreciated wrestlers in WWE history. He performed at a high level for a long time, worked wonderfully as a heel or a babyface and was a truly integral part of the WWE machine.

After defeating Taka Michinoku for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship in his first televised match (at Judgement Day 1998), Christian's first RAW match would come just a couple of weeks later as he teamed up with Edge and Gangrel to take on Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and X-Pac.

As for his last match, Christian would survive the challenge of Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus in a fatal four-way bout.
