10 WWE Superstars Who Were Humiliated In Their Hometowns

7. Zack Doesn€™t Get Booked In Long Island

If there€™s one thing most everyone knows about Zack Ryder (aside from his amazing singing voice) is that he is a proud resident of Long Island, New Jersey. He puts the L.I. in Long Island, and when he was the €œBroski€ of WWE, he made sure that everyone knew his Long Island roots. When WWE took their programming over to Long Island, New York back in 2011, people were certain that they were going to get to see Zack Ryder come out and perform. Even if he had to lose his match and job to another rising superstar, at least the people of Long Island got to see one of their own. But then, shock of all shocks, it turned out that Zack Ryder not only didn€™t have a match, but he wasn€™t even on the show! Are you serious, bro? Even as the fans chanted €œWe want Ryder€ at the top of their lungs, even as the fists were being pumped into the air, there was not one appearance by Zack; not even a stupid backstage segment. He wasn€™t injured or taking a leave of absence either. WWE just decided not to put him on the show. At least some wrestlers get the honor of competing in their own hometown, but not Zack Ryder. Sorry, Broski!
