10 WWE World Champions Who Will Never Get In The Hall Of Fame

5. Ivan Koloff

Major WWE Titles: 1-Time WWWF Champion (1971) Ivan Koloff, who was known as the Russian Bear, was a heel that was the first transitional WWWF Champion in the history of the company. Koloff took the title away from Bruno Sammartino, who had the greatest major title reign in WWE history since he held the WWWF Title for nearly eight years. That's never going to happen again because the business has changed so much, but Koloff is the man that ended the streak. Three weeks after his WWWF Title win, Koloff lost it to Pedro Morales. The reason WWE didn't want to have Sammartino drop it to Morales is because they were both babyfaces, so they needed a heel like Koloff to win and then pass it onto Morales. Koloff retired from wrestling 21 years ago and at age 72, isn't that well known among current wrestling fans. Even though he probably deserves a Hall of Fame spot based on beating Sammartino and his successful 30 year career, it might not happen for him.
