10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2018

9. Street Profits

Angelo Dawkins has been through the developmental wringer more times than most.

Under WWE contract since late 2012, the former college football player has continually struggled to break through, working a long series of different dead-end gimmicks throughout his lengthy tenure. He was always a talented athlete, but it looked very much like his career was going nowhere. Fortunately, Montez Ford changed everything.

The duo first joined forces as The Street Profits on the house show circuit, and made it to television in August. They've since embarked upon a lengthy jobber-squashing spree, and while the duo have been made to wait for significant opportunities, those look set to fall onto their laps in 2018.

American Alpha is an obvious comparison, but an apt one, as Jason Jordan had endured a Dawkins-esque spell in purgatory prior to connecting with Chad Gable. Can the lively, charismatic Ford have a similar impact on Dawkins' career? It's perhaps a tad too early to tell, but the duo have been excellent for each other, and are already one of Full Sail University's most popular acts. If their ring work reaches a similar level as their palpable chemistry, there's no reason they can't surge in the new year.
