The 2000s was a wholly unique decade for WWE fans because, between January 1st 2000 and December 31st 2009, they saw in the end of the Attitude Era, the Invasion, the whole of the Ruthless Aggression era and the start of the so-called PG Era.

That's a lot of different eras right there, folks. It's a lot of talent, a bunch of direction changes and, as is so key to the success of a professional wrestling company, a lot of rivalries, too.

What would WWE be without a big money feud for fans to sink their teeth into? Would they really bother ordering the next PPV if it was headlined by a so-so match from a transitional feud? History (and buyrates) suggest that, no, they would not.

They needed to be offered something more substantial if they were going to part with their hard-earned cash. Luckily for WWE, they had plenty of such matches, matches from rivalries so pronounced that they ended up defininig the decade.

Taking a look at Attitude, Ruthless Aggression and PG, here are eleven WWE rivalries that defined the 2000s.
