13 WWE Superstars If They Were Heavy Metal Bands

You already know who'd be Mötley Crüe, but who'd be Metallica?!

Wrestling is metal. It's a simple, measurable fact of life. Whether it's down to the endless of array of diehard metalheads that have entered the squared circle over the years (hi Austin/Taker/Trips/Dolph/Bray/Baron/Becky-ah you get the picture) or the involvement of numerous heavy bands in big WWE events (see Bizkit, Kid Rock and Motörhead at Mania or, more recently, Bring Me The Horizon, Motionless In White and, er, Motörhead soundtracking NXT!), the connection between pro wrestling and heavy music just won't go away. Plus, y'know, have you seen the amount of metal-as-balls wrestlers that have turned up over the years? Look at Ultimate Warrior, L.O.D., Demolition, the Brothers Of Destruction, Mankind, Sting, The Brood, Finn Balor...hell, even Roman Reigns looks like he'd probably rather listen to Metallica than Kings Of Leon. It's an undeniable truth, therefore, that wrestling and metal go together like donuts and jam, which is exactly why we've decided to do a list of WWE superstars over the years as they'd be if they were heavy metal bands. Let's do it...

13. Dolph Ziggler Is...Mötley Crüe

This one's easy. He's cocky, he's a show-off, but underneath it all he's one of the most talented guys going and puts on an amazing show wherever he goes. Plus, fairly importantly, he's taken to dressing less like a wrestler and more like a glam metal guitarist as of late. It's for all these reasons and more that Dolph Ziggler is, quite obviously, Mötley Crüe. Dolph is shamelessly channelling the spirit of the glam metal icons, and given his open love for classic, 80s metal and, y'know, the whole dressing-like-a-rockstar-thing, we reckon he'd back this choice.
