25 Most Revealing WWE Instagram Posts Of The Week (Aug 20th)

It's all about SummerSlam this week, with the question of returns, debuts and shocks inevitably taking centre-stage and excitement ramping up ahead of the big kick-off. We've already had a taster thanks to the excellent TakeOver Brooklyn show and SummerSlam itself promises to be a showcase worthy of its billing. Or at least that's what the last minute ticket drive would have you all believe.
Outside of 'Slam, the WWE news machine churned out more rumours of Daniel Bryan's return to wrestling, teased a match between Roman Reigns and John Cena (an inevitability, apparently) and revealed exactly why Baron Corbin was robbed of his Money In The Bank opportunity. Elsewhere there was also more talk of that potentially Earth-shattering match between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar at No Mercy (because it's never too soon to start looking forward to the next PPV).
On top of that Shelton Benjamin's back, Seth Rollins has been rejecting the need for UFC stars in WWE and WWE supposedly unveiled a new policy not to push independent signings straight into the NXT main event picture. Which they presumably didn't tell Adam Cole before doing just that.
All in all, a busy week as the prologue to the summer's biggest tentpole event, and through it all the superstars took to social media to show off their last minute work-out prep, their holiday snaps and their tiny, tiny hats.
