Another week, another PPV to start thinking about.
We're almost at No Mercy, and Brock Lesnar's expected lengthy WWE hiatus is apparently creeping ever closer. That's good news for Brawn Strowman fans, as it indicates he might just win the Universal Title in LA, but it's hardly good news for ratings. Still, you don't argue with the Beast Incarnate.
The same PPV might see John Cena beat Roman Reigns and then go off to be a movie star once more. So that's two big names down, but at least Vince McMahon has Shane to put in the ring again, since he believes he's a major draw. If only there were younger, gifted talents like Sami Zayn around. Sadly, there aren't, apparently.
So it looks like No Mercy next week might be an important stop on the WWE calendar, with outgoings and cemented pushes, and hopefully it'll lead to improved ratings all round. But if it doesn't, at least we'll still have the superstars on social media, sharing glimpses of their blessed lives, their bloodied noses and their tiny, tiny pigs.
