4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (June 18)

"Happy Father's Day, Roman. Run!"

This week's Smackdown featured a lot of the usual performers in major roles like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Kane, but it was also a show where Money in the Bank winner Sheamus was featured a lot more than he usually is. Heading into last Sunday's Money in the Bank show, Sheamus was just some midcarder that really had no direction and it was tough to see what WWE was going to do with them. Then they had him win the Money in the Bank briefcase, which was a surprise to a lot of people, and now it's time to think of him as a main event level performer again. He has been in that role in the past, but he had also been in the midcard for so many years that fans don't think of him as a main eventer. As is usually the case on Smackdown, there was no John Cena or Randy Orton on this week's show. Cena is almost never on anyway and it seems like Orton has also reached a point where he's only on Smackdown once in a while due to his veteran status. Here are the matches that took place this week: - Sheamus & Kane d. Dean Ambrose by disqualification when Roman Reigns interfered - Brie Bella d. Paige when Alicia Fox interfered. - Dolph Ziggler d. Bo Dallas - Neville d. Xavier Woods - Kevin Owens d. Cesaro - Sheamus & Kane d. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose due to Bray Wyatt distraction. There's no up or down from the divas match because it just felt pretty anticlimactic and similar to what we usually see from them. These are the ups and downs from this week's edition of Smackdown.
