This week's episode of Monday Night Raw certainly wasn't anything to write home about. The bloated three-hour broadcast featured cringeworthy segments and bad booking, and did little to convince us that we made the right choice by tuning in.

There were a few saving graces, however. Brock Lesnar finally showed up, and 'The Beast' gave us plenty to laugh about during several humorous backstage segments featuring himself and Paul Heyman. Unfortunately, he did not face off with Roman Reigns as 'The Big Dog' was sent home early. Elsewhere, Seth Rollins shone as he took on Drew McIntyre, and 'The Kingslayer' once again highlighted why he is the best WWE currently has to offer.

However, the poor instalment of Raw did give us a few reasons to get excited for SummerSlam. For example, Brock Lesnar's appearance might not have been what we were expecting but, reading between the lines, his actions on Raw will likely have severe consequences as we head towards the 'Biggest Party of the Summer'. Things could get very interesting.

Let's take a look at all of the SummerSlam hints that the WWE creative team dropped during Raw.

5. The Sasha Vs. Bayley Match Won’t Take Place At SummerSlam

For yet another week, Sasha Banks and Bayley were like a well-oiled machine in the ring. In fact, they worked too well together, as they defeated The Riott Squad. With SummerSlam just around the corner, the pair's continued friendship seems to suggest that they won't be competing at the marquee event like we initially thought. Why? Because it would simply require too much work to have the pair feud before SummerSlam and WWE is running out of time to make it happen.

It's likely that the creative team will hold off on pulling the trigger on this eventual feud for now, stretching the storyline out for several more months to make the pair's bond seem all the more unbreakable. Moreover, the longer they remain friends, the more intense their future bouts will be. With Evolution (WWE's first all-female PPV) on the horizon, it's looking more and more like Sasha and Bayley's face-off will take place then.
